An Streoillín Irish Language Pleiades Print | Seven Sisters Constellation Wall Art | Gaeilge Star Map | Irish Gift | Gaeilge Art

from €25.00
An Streoillín, the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters

An old Irish name for the little cluster of stars that rises in the winter sky. It's said that its rising was a sign that it was time to head home after a night visiting the neighbours.

This vintage-style star map shows the Pleiades in white on a deep navy sky, with the Irish name and a line of folklore underneath:

Nuair a d'éiríodh an Streoillín, bhíodh sé in am dul abhaile.
(When the Streoillín rose, it was time to go home.)

Uimh. 2 in a series of Irish star names. It pairs beautifully with Uimh. 1, Slat an Mhairnéalaigh (Orion's Belt), and Uimh. 3, An Camchéachta (the Plough).

Printed on heavyweight 200gsm matte paper with a smooth, non-reflective surface.

• 200gsm (80lb) premium paper
• 0.26mm thickness
• FSC-certified sustainable paper
• Soft matte texture

Frame not included. A4 size
